Raghavendra Rathore- The Man Who Redefined Men’s Fashion

Raghavendra Rathore is the man who is responsible for to make the ‘bandhgala’ the most fashionably elegant outfit in the country. Raghavendra Rathore hails from the royal family of Jodhpur, Rajasthan Maharaj Shri Swaroop Singh and mother Rani Usha Singh Rathore. After finishing his Intermediate from Mayo College, and left for Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, to pursue higher studies in electronics and robotics. After studying designing in details, he enrolled himself in Parsons School of Design, New York City. His first job was at DKNY and within a few months, he got a job as a senior assistant to the legendary designer Oscar de la Renta. In 2012, ‘Rathore Jodhpur’ became the first Indian company to copyright patterns. He says, “When I took up the bandgala it was very primitive. It looked boxy and had huge armhole. We started fixing it and contemporizing it. And once we were satisfied, we got the Jodhpur Bandgala pattern copyrighted.” He has the most elegant and versatile collection when it comes to men’s fashion line.
