Bollywood has inspired us in so many ways. With colleges about to begin soon after their annual break here’s some inspiration and reminiscing for students, to tell you how to stand out in a crowd of students by dressing up like these characters did…
Wake Up Sid was a fantastic movi, wasn’t it? A part of its charm was how well Ranbir Kapoor’s character was constructed on screen. And a huge contribution to that was his outfits. Ranbir’s simple, cool tees with denims throughout the film was such an inspiration for teenagers and still is! Those cool tees will never go out of style.
Student Of The Year was a Karan Johar movie and a KJo film is never shabby! Alia Bhatt was India’s Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girls in the film. Look how sexy this silver sequined top with denim hot pants is! This super cute outfit is perfect for a party!
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was such a cute film! The characters all wore cute outfits in the film too. Genelia or ‘meow’ was always dressed in denims, quarter trousers and ganjees. While Imran Khan’s character wore simple block colour casual tees with denims. Not very different from kids today, isn’t it?
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai showed Kajol wearing lots of jackets and denims. Her short hair complemented her boisterous look. Shah Rukh Khan wore sporty, figure hugging tees that are absolutely not in style anymore! So, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai works as a reference to what you shouldn’t wear to your college.
We loved 2 States, especially the pretty and yet simple kurtas Alia was shown wearing throughout the film. Alia mostly wore a lot of simple, Indian, middle-class outfitsin the film that exactly represented Indian youth that is today.
Katrina Kaif has gradually emerged as the dancing queen of Bollywood. The lass can move, are we right? Katrina Kaif....
