We enjoy their glamour and performances, but we hardly ever realise how much and what artists in the entertainment field do to perfect that hour-glass figure and keep up their beauty quotient, because that’s what they’re primarily known for! While all of them spend some time working out, they have their own tricks and tactics to stay fit. Here’s a sneak peek into it…
“I think you don’t need more meals to survive. This myth of eating two hours doesn’t work for me. If I am hungry, I eat. I listen to my body,” said the 23-year-old. Alia doesn’t obsess over calories. Instead, she eats healthy and restricts her meals to just three in a day. She said, “I don’t eat because one is telling me to eat. It’s a pattern that I’ve broken and that has worked in my favour.” Pretty cool!
Sonakshi Sinha was a chubby kid and lost more than 30 kgs for her first film in 2010. The actress gave up carb foods with high quantity of sugar. She has cereal and whole wheat toast for breakfast and has dry fruits and green tea in the mid-morning. Sonakshi’s lunch consists of simple veggies and chapatti with salad. The actress makes sure she has early dinner and excludes carbs completely. She likes to have chicken and dal for her last meal.
The Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress said, “I believe in detoxifying, and that’s what I did for the first two months. I drank litres and litres of aloe vera. I also had a lot of green tea and kale juice.” The actress piled on a lot of weight for her debut film. She then lost all of it when she and her mum finally decided to shed all the extra kilos. She started with brisk walks and graduated to the gym. She also gave up on high carb sugary food and included a lot of fibre in her diet.
Kangana Ranaut is naturally thin. Also, she has an ectomorph body so she does not pile on weight easily. This gives the actress a leeway to have what she wants! But, Kangana is quite straight with her diet too. The actress has cereals, porridge with egg whites and omlette for breakfast. She has fruits and protein shakes for her mid-day meal followed by dal, veggies, chapattis, rice and chicken for lunch. Kangana hoards on water the entire day. For dinner, the actress has boiled vegetables, bakes chicken and soup.
Priyanka Chopra once said she has amazing Indian genes and she will stay away from the gym as long as she can. Her perspective is – when she starts getting fat, she’ll go to the gym. Pretty simple and straight. But, the lass keeps a check on her diet. She eats oatmeal porridge and egg whites for breakfast and has dry fruits and coconut water every two hours to keep her energy level up. She has a simple Indian lunch with veggies, dal and chapattis, followed by either a turkey sandwich or sprouts for evening snacks. Priyanka has boiled veggies and baked chicken for dinner and indulges on weekends.
The glamour industry wouldn’t be so glamorous without the miracle artists who make all the beautiful men and women....
